Leapin’ Lizards
or: Mi Pantano es Su Pantano
No, I’m not on a mean green streak. Just luck that this week’s pull is Amazing Spider-Man #6 starring the lovely and talented Lizard.
Now the Lizard doesn’t really mean any harm, he just wants people out of his house (that would be the swamp to you and me) But, nooooo… people just won’t leave him alone. Now some kid from New York in a halloween costume is stickin’ a camera in his face… I’d be ticked off, too.
Ditko hasn’t hit his stride yet but, he’s got a running start on what will be an Alex Raymond like progression over the next two years where every page is better than the last. In the meantime, there’s swamps, gators, old Spanish fortresses… what’s not to like.
