or: That Ain’t What I Remember
My biggest disappointment with the Golden Age was that Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman were verboten. Everything I knew about the golden age just went right out the window.
I snuck in Superman and Batman (crashing through the front page of the newspaper in book one) I even snuck in Captain America, Sub-Mariner and the Torch (top of the page where we finally learn who the real bad guy is in book four) I don’t think I ever snuck in Wonder Woman.
If I had, she’d have looked much like this…
